Overall, Akeldama Elzti is a quiet soul, wishing desperately to be noticed in a world full of far more worthy people.

- Though she loves to be talked with, she is generally a shy person and tries to avoid being the first to start the conversation. She adores being the center of attention, something she never was growing up, but finds it hard to initiate a chat. Nonetheless, once the ice is broken, she proves to be a cheery girl with a lot of personality and a hunger to please everyone.

- Akeldama is endlessly patient. She spent all of her time with her little brother Gennadi, so that coupled with her own offspring, she learned that patience was the key right off the bat. She would rather spend her time around the foals than with adults. In a way, Akeldama is elderly mature. She can cope with everyday life if she absolutely has to, but she prefers to hide from her problems with the hope that everything will be ohkay if she forgets about it. She can function on her own self-sustained "automatic pilot" when need be.

- A healer at heart, Akeldama looks to mend the broken and ease the weary, even if it means she will not see rest. Because her mother did not coddle her as she did her brother, she looks to keep others comforted, channeling the innermost bitterness she feels toward her parents and making it useful, or in her case, something to keep her busy.

» HISTORY.
In early summer when dusk had just settled in, a young colt was born to a powerful and great couple. He was called Evgeny, after his father before him. Until he was three, the colt was trained by his harsh father and grandfather until he could kill just about any opponent he came against. He grew to maturity quickly because of this.

Adult Evgeny was a big, hefty brute with a bite to match his bark. He was ruthless and tough-skinned, but cared for his mares and children to some degree. At about six years of age he overthrew the boss stallion of a harem he had been following for a few years and claimed leadership. Some of the mares hated their new leader with a passion, others would tolerate him, and only one truly loved him. She was Barran, a small Lipizzaner girl his subordinates stole from a rival band. She was beautiful and he wanted her for his own, so Evgeny made sure of it that she would stay by his side and his only. If she would not willingly fall in love, he would make her.

Within a few seasons Barran did fall for the stallion, but by this time she was already pregnant with his firstborn, a daughter they would name Nadezhda but later come to call Akeldama Elzti Agana. In some dark place in his heart Evgeny did love his Lippy queen, but it was not in the same way that lights loved; she was to bare his children and he figured this was enough to please her (his children were longed for all throughout his region). Unfortunately, Barran grew to realize this and concluded that he really did not love her and a bitterness welled up inside. Not too long afterwards, Nadezhda was born. Her father rarely associated with her, and her mother, while she loved her, often did not express her feelings toward her daughter. Nadezhda would go off on her own and play by herself most of the time, and every time she would come home to her mother she would be matted and dirty from her play. Her mother told her one day, "Nadezhda, you wicked little girl. How many times have I told you not to come home so ugly? I should just call you Akeldama Elzti Agana from now on." And so she did.

Akeldama Elzti Agana hated her new name, but stayed quiet to avoid a fight. Her mother fell pregnant again and had a son this time, one Evgeny would name Gennadi. Akeldama absolutely adored him, spending her time doting upon her little brother and playing with him. Despite her estranged bond with her parents, she harbored no bitterness or jealousy towards Gennadi and went out of her way to protect him. He was a very affectionate colt and wanted to spend all of his time with his big sister, which made Akeldama feel important. Evgeny did not like this though; he would not have his heir becoming soft and being SENSITIVE to actual EMOTIONS, God forbid.

One night he and his wife called Akeldama Elzti Agana to see them, and told her to leave as soon as the sun rose the next morning. Akeldama was hurt and afraid; not for her welfare, but her brother's. When she told him the news that night, it broke her heart to hear him crying and pleading her to stay. She promised to never forget him and that he would be in her thoughts every second of the day. With no other choice, she went on her way in the morning.
